Two Blog updates in two days!!!

Joe-isms...

Joe has become quite the vocal child lately. When he's around, he's non-stop chatter. And, OH! The things he chats about! Last week, after the girls left for school, I took the boys grocery shopping with me. All the way to Olean, about half an hour away, he was talking away. The questions went along these lines;
"Are there volcanoes in Mexico?"
"Can we go to Iceland to see the volcano?"
"Why CANT we get passports, to go to Iceland?"
"Where does the wind come from?"
"Where does rain come from?"
"Why do clouds get dark?"
"What is a viper?"
"What does a poisonous viper look like EXACTLY???"
OMG. You THINK you know these things, untill you have to actually answer them. So, I went to a book store, and bought two great big books, with the answers to most of his questions, and we looked them all up. Whew! However, his comments have also gone along the lines of -
"If the girls ever become human, will they have babies some day?" (The 'girls' being his sisters..)

Or, then there is last night. He was in the back yard, and I heard him crying, while sitting on the front porch reading. Through the house he ran, crying the whole way (Side note here; if you are a parent, you know the difference between the 'OMG, Something is wrong cry', where you rush to your kid, and the 'He will live, and make his way to me eventually', cry. This was the latter of the two.) He bursts through the door, lands in my lap, and informs me that outter space has been attacking him. Wow. What did outter space DO to you? I inquire, and he tells me that he threw a ball to the moon, and it threw it to outter space, and outter space smacked him in the face with it. I told him that Outter space obviously wasn't very nice, go play with something else.

Right before bed the recently, I stood in front of me, and told me we needed to adopt a Leper. "We need a leper, huh? And, where do we go to adopt poor little lepers these days?"
"You know, mom! At the end of the rainbow???"
Duh.

He does know, that he is the 'Best crasher and faller in the whole wide world' though. I told him that, while he learned to ride a bike last two weeks ago. He informs everyone of his superior crashing abilities now.

Today though. Today, I took him to the dentist, for his 6 month check up. Here we were, Joe and George and me. An entire waiting room full of people. We heard the usual "Cute baby!" "How old?" "Whats his name?" questions. And then Joe informed the waiting room that sometimes, Daddy takes the baby out of his little cage, and lets him hold the baby. Imagine the look of horror, on not only my OWN face, but everyone else's as well.
"Joeseph! We do not keep the baby in a cage!!"
"Yes we do! You know, Mom, that little cage?" All I can figure is that he was talking about the crib. I must be doing something right though. Lexi told me recently, "Mom, I love you. You are the best mom ever. If you were a booger, I would pick you first." Well. That just makes it all better.

If you scan the picture below, you will have a general idea why you probably won't be seeing many updates here for another month. I am ALMOST DONE!!!! I am SOOOO excited! The schedule below dosn't mention the classroom time, or all the tests, (I mentally counted up all the questions on all the tests this morning. 600 questions between tomorrow and May 27. YIKES!) But, I think we can survive another month!
