I wanted to include this picture first, to prove I really do still have Kaila! After publishing the last post, I realized there were hardly any pictures of her. The child has a very active social and school life, and I hardly see her long enough to get a picture! The school sent home a notice stating Spring portaits are going to be taken Thursday. At the very least, I will have a reminder of her to hang on the wall!
This is where the title of this Post comes in. Isn't rather reminicent of Cinderella? Prince Daddy!

Here is where the Ogre part comes in. Last fall, Joe was really into constuction sites. Construction trucks, tractors, dirt and rocks. His little world centered around it. Unfortunately, last summer, it rained almost daily. The sand box was completely filled with water most of the time. Partly my fault, as I forgot to cover it most of the time! Besides, the back yard is always full of mosquitoes. People can get SICK from mosquitoes! There are reported cases of it every year, right? So... Joe needed a construction site, and picked the end of the driveway. Every afternoon, Daddy would vacate that particular part of the driveway, and Joe and I would go to work digging there. Everyday. We would cover it up as well as we could and had a pact to not bother Daddy with the inconsequencial bother of our little area.
Winter came and winter has gone... and the construction site was reveiled... enter: The Ogre!
We both got a sound lecture on NOT digging in the driveway, and Jasin said he would build a better cap for the sandbox. People can catch terrible things by mosquitos....
