My porch

Memorial Day weekend, Kaila and I visited my two favorite greenhouses, and bought our plants and flowers. It's a Memorial Day tradition here, and I love it! So, here, just after planting, are my flowers! Not of any interest to most, but, I love my flowers and I love the porch! And, because Jasin complains every year that I spend money an annuals, I threw in some perennials to make him happy. Which will probably all get pulled out with next spring's weeds, but he doesn't need to know! Pictured below, is the side entrance, and my garden there. It will be much prettier when everything takes off and starts to grow. I put it around the lilac tree, because I love the tree so much! It is one of my favorite spots. The porch! Anyone who knows me, knows I love the porch! We spend so much time on this porch. And, so do the neighbors. A few years ago, I was bartending a party, and I was talking to this really nice couple, and in the course of events, we were describing where we live. I told her the name of my street, and the woman says, 'Oh you are so lucky! My kids have been begging us to move to that street, because there is this house there that everyone is always at, and they always have these Porch Parties! EVERYONE is always talking about these porch parties! Do you know where it is?" I started laughing. I had had no idea. It was MY porch!

Anyhow, thats the porch, and those are my flowers! I feel better, just for having gotten this up, so people could see it, before the porch is full of toys, or the frost gets my flowers! Hope you like it!

  1. Love it!! Did you know there are people in this world who frown on porch sitting? Who'd have thought! Wnen Ange and Rick were little, we used to sit on the porch late at night when we lived in Buffalo and look at the moon and the stars. Then, there was Ben and his pj's on the porch out here. LOL And, the listening to the bull frogs on the other side of the road at night from the porch. Darn things have moved to my side again this year ... cute from a distance, no so cute as an every night lullaby to fall asleep to. Yep. Something very special about porches.
    Love,
    Mom
