Joe took the Easter candy very seriously. Were I to hazard a guess, I think its all he ate for three and a half days.
The egg hunt!

The day after Easter, we took the kids to the aquarium in Niagara Falls. The kids had a blast!

Scary, how Lexi looks more terrifying than the 'shark jaws'! Joe looks like he is waiting for a bus.
And, of course, Kaila, my child obssessed with all things kitty, befriended a catfish
After the aquarium, we took the kids to see Niagara Falls. One of the wonders of the world and all that.

Kaila took one unimpressed look and said, "You dragged me all the way here to walk around and look at some WATER?!". Lord.

It was an exhusting day for everyone!

Last night, we had our first bonfire of the season. Kaila had a friend over, and we made S'Mores and told silly stories around the fire. Even Joe told stories!

You KNOW there have been too many marshmallows, when things stick to you!

DO I LOOK RESTED??!!!!

And, last but not least; Lexi had her stitches out today! As she lay on the doctor's table, she started to cry. I asked what was wrong, and she cried that Kaila had told her it would REALLY REALLY hurt to have them taken out. Note to self... have chat with Kaila upon arrival home. Things went fine and painless, and the doctor offered me the suture strings to save as a keepsake. Maybe I am a lousy Mom, but it never actually occured to me to keep them. I dutifuly tucked them into my purse though.

After the trip to the doctor, we went to the store where Lexi fell, and assured the staff that she was alive and well. A little side note here; I was APALLED at the sheer volume of people who INSISTED I find a lawyer and sue the store. I even ran into a lawyer I babysat for YEARS ago, who ALSO insisted I hire her husband to sue the store for me. At no point did a staff person trip my child, push my child, startle my child, speak to my child. She TRIPPED!!! I seriously never saw any reason why the store should be held even remotely accountable, and was disgusted at all the "Well, it's free money!" comments. What kind of world IS this? Okay. I feel better now!
And finally, Lexi did get to see the Hannah Montana movie that started it all today. She had pretzels, a med. soda, and a large popcorn, for the unbelievable deal of $17.00. All of which are in most of its uneaten state, in my truck.
Ta-Da!! and, a good time was had by all!!
